Billing and Payments

Pubdate subscriptions are managed through Stripe. This guide explains the current plans and what happens around payment updates.


Pubdate Plans

Some accounts may also have a one-off setup fee, depending on the onboarding offer agreed at signup.


Payment Method and Receipts

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card details are not stored by Pubdate directly.

Stripe handles receipts and invoices. If you need to update your card or view billing details, use the billing portal link from Pubdate or email hello@pubdate.ie.


If a Payment Fails

If Stripe cannot process a subscription payment, Pubdate marks the account as past due and sends a WhatsApp warning when there is a safe open WhatsApp window.

The message includes a secure Stripe portal link so you can update your card. Posts keep running for 3 days to avoid an immediate interruption while you fix the payment method.

If Pubdate cannot send the WhatsApp warning safely, the issue is flagged for admin follow-up.


Changing Plan

If you want to move between Bar, Lounge, and Snug, email hello@pubdate.ie. We can confirm what changes, when the new price starts, and whether any setup work is needed.


Cancelling

Email hello@pubdate.ie if you need to cancel. We will confirm the cancellation and make sure you know what happens to scheduled posts, connected accounts, and any public PubLocal pages.
